ABOUT
Hi! My name is Luke,
I am passionate about creating spaces that bring people together, allowing relationships to flourish. I love creating systems of living and creating stories that examine and refine the way we live. I like tackling problems from societal issues down to the human condition by elevating the human wellbeing through the built environment. When I volunteered at the Union Rescue Mission it made me more aware of the sanitary needs that happen in these poor establishments, which have influenced my attitude on design. Amongst some of my influences like Shigeru Ban, Alejandro Aravena, and Michael Maltzan, Mass Design Group, I seek to create spaces that help people simply live minimally without sacrificing on affordability.

Hi!
My name is Luke Ravenelle.
As a designer, I am inspired by altruistic acts of people and view spatial design as an attitude instead of a fixed belief in self expression. I am inspired by natural elements, history, poetry, art, and the construction process. Growing up in two cultures trained me to embrace cultures. Being brought up in both the countryside and suburbia informed me to be environmentally sensitive. To me, design is about justice, healing, and the beauty in simplicity.
My work questions systems in reality and spatial propagation through analysis, history, prior solutions, sustainability, and the future. I long to create experiences that restore communities, and dignity to people’s lives. I believe design has the power to be more than a new space but has a duty to restore a sense of value society.
